Sunday mornings are pure chaos over here and this past Easter Sunday was no different. I had big plans for a fancy breakfast, neatly pressed clothes and perfect little curls for Emery. Perhaps even some relaxed downtime before we headed off to church. Time and time again has proven that Sunday seems to be the one and only day that one-or all of us sleep in, where I am digging through a pile of laundry for their “Sunday best” and trying to shovel food in everyone’s mouths as fast as I can. Behind it all are two sweet children that don’t notice any sort of “chaos” and they definitely don’t notice their very simple breakfast or their very wrinkled clothes. Sweet spirits. Happy Sunday.

A new year.

One year forward. I spent a little bit of time looking back at this past year and how it served me(or the purpose I gave it) and to be completely honest, it was a little saddening. I felt trapped in my own cycle of stress and worry. Moving and renovating. Expectations and insecurities. And all the while trying to be completely present in the moment. Those moments have slipped out of my very fingertips. They are gone now. And now I am left questioning myself if there were enough moments with substance and that will weigh on me in the years to come. This year I am breaking the cycle. I will live life. Capture more moments. I will nurture those around me and do so with love.

Georgia, she’s oh so sweet in every way from her eyes to her smile with a laugh you can’t help but love. Jack is witty and smart and kind. Elizabeth with her “babies” that she mothers, nurtures and worries for. And sweet William, the newest one to join this family and what a lucky one he is.
