so much has happened in such a short time with my business and am so blessed for all the opportunities that come my way. in just a few months i’ve been featured on sweetspot.ca, the calgary baby planners, did a segment on the breakfast television show and have met so many amazing and beautiful people! i just did an interview with the awesome crystal genes from the bokeh pot and answered some fun questions! check it out HERE to get to know me a little better

5 wonderful nights in vegas… it was truly amazing. i was exhausted by the time everything ended (you really don’t sleep in that city!!) but it was well worth the experience. i was inspired and left having more drive and more passion, and i am so excited to take things to the next level and push myself even further.

i only pulled out my camera twice the entire time but will share what i do have. one from a night shoot that i will blog more about later.

that’s right! i’m leaving this miserable weather and am on my way to attend the world’s largest photography convention!! it gets better… it’s IN VEGAS!! i will be away from the 14th-19th and will not be answering client calls/emails until i return. i could go on and on about how much fun i’ll be having but i’d better keep those ramblings to myself. see you all when i get back!!

okay, so here’s the thing. the most uncomfortable, awkward and agonizing feelings consume me when i am in front of the camera. i don’t know what it is really, but i’m pretty sure that being un-photogenic plays a big part in this. well i am big advocate of capturing and preserving memories, and avoiding the camera is pretty hypocritical if i do say so myself.

as uncomfortable as it is.. this will just have to change.. starting now..

meet lincoln. he was born 17 weeks too early! that means mom was only in her 5th month of pregnancy when baby lincoln was born. he spent months in the hospital but is finally at home with the two people that love him most. i felt so lucky to photograph this special baby boy and their story and what they endured truly touched my heart!
