Treasuring the little moments.

Treasuring the little moments.

Cousins. She will be two in a few days. He will be four in a few weeks. Love these kids.

This past Saturday our family joined together to give Emery a blessing. The spirit filled our home and our hearts as we celebrated our baby, our Emery. I couldn’t have asked for a better day and to top it off the pink lemonade cake turned out just how I wanted! Delicious!

I love you. I love your coos. I love your cries. I love the way you smile back. I love your spit bubbles. I love the way you bat your eyes and the way you yawn and stretch. I love your eyes, your little toes, your hands and your baby rolls. I love every part of you. Next week, every part of you will be just a little bit bigger, and then the next week after that… and then the next month… but I will document it and I will remember.

This past weekend we had all the cousins in town. It was so cute to watch them play and laugh with each other, and run and chase each other, and make silly faces together and tell jokes to each other. The kind of jokes that really don’t make any sense but are still funny to them regardless. Even though they do not get together often, I hope the times that they do are cherished and remembered.
I love each and every one of you so much and can’t wait to watch you grow. - Aunt Maria

Today, Aidan:
Woke me up by tapping on my shoulder and whispered “Good morning princess.”
Insisted on mixing Cheerios, Special K and Froot Loops in his breakfast bowl.
Put his pants on backwards, went back in his room to fix the problem and came back with his pants on… backwards.
Played swords with an invisible ninja.
Had a very in depth conversation with a complete stranger about when, how and why to use bug spray.
Called me beautiful.
Called Emery beautiful.
Saw an airplane for the hundredth time and still looked at it amazed and in awe.
Stopped in the middle of an intense sword fight to kiss and admire his sister.
Kissed me goodnight.

I have been wanting and needing to do this for awhile now and I if you can believe it, I actually have more free time now then I did while I was pregnant!
So here it is, the new Maria Lang Photography
I will admit it is always nerve wracking to throw new stuff out there, and I am definitely feeling the nerves. Please indulge me
